The best physiotherapy in Bangkok depends on what you need. For back pain, neck pain, sports injuries and most post-surgery rehab, a dedicated physio clinic gives you published prices, longer sessions and the same physiotherapist each time. For stroke rehab, complex surgery or anything that needs a doctor alongside, a hospital rehabilitation centre has equipment and specialists a clinic can't match. This page compares both.

The order is ThailandClinics' editorial assessment. It is not a ranking of treatment outcomes, which no Bangkok provider publishes in a comparable way. We compared providers on factors you can check yourself:
- Published prices. We looked at whether the provider publishes a session price, and how long a session is.
- Equipment. We checked for hydrotherapy, robotic gait training and strength testing.
- Accreditation. For hospitals, we read the dates on each JCI certificate, not just the logo.
- English-language care. We looked at what each provider states about English-speaking staff.
- Patient feedback. We checked Google rating and review volume across our Bangkok physiotherapy directory.
The 5 providers, compared
2. BPC Physio: best for sports injuries and ACL rehab
Dedicated clinic · Sukhumvit 39, Sathorn and Sanam Pao · 5.0★ on Google at Sukhumvit 39
BPC Physio is one of Bangkok's best-known physio-only clinics, and it publishes clear prices: ฿700 for a 30-minute consultation and ฿2,000, ฿2,900 or ฿3,800 for 60, 90 or 120 minutes of treatment. BPC Physio sells an ACL Rehab Course (฿3,300 for the first 105-minute assessment) and VALD strength testing (฿1,000), which measures how strong the injured leg is against the other. Reviewers describe progress after ACL, meniscus and ankle surgery.
Worth knowing: two reviewers felt pushed towards twice-weekly sessions, and a few say the quality depends on which physiotherapist you see. Ask to stay with the same physiotherapist.
Best for: sports injuries, and patients who want measured strength testing during ACL rehab.
3. Vejthani Hospital: best for robotic and pool-based rehab
Hospital Advanced Rehabilitation Center · Bang Kapi · JCI accredited 2025–2028
Vejthani Hospital has one of the best-equipped rehabilitation centres in Bangkok, across two floors of its orthopaedic building. Vejthani lists Lokomat and Keeogo robotic gait systems, a C-Mill treadmill, hydrotherapy (including for joint-replacement recovery), Redcord and shockwave therapy. Vejthani holds JCI hospital accreditation for 2025–2028 and a separate JCI clinical care certification for knee replacement.
Worth knowing: Vejthani doesn't publish current physio prices, and package prices seen in the past excluded doctor and hospital fees. Get an itemised quote. It's in Bang Kapi, a long way from central Sukhumvit.
Best for: knee replacement rehab and patients who need robotic or pool-based therapy.
4. Bumrungrad International Hospital: best for complex medical histories
Rehabilitation Center · Watthana (Sukhumvit Soi 3) · JCI accredited since 2002
Bumrungrad's Rehabilitation Center offers manual therapy, Redcord, laser, traction, robotic-assisted gait training and a C-Mill treadmill, with pre- and post-operative rehab. The main reason to choose Bumrungrad is everything around the physio: rehabilitation doctors and every other specialty in the same building.
Worth knowing: Bumrungrad publishes no physio prices, and you'll pay hospital rates. For a straightforward back or sports injury, a dedicated clinic is usually cheaper and gives you longer sessions.
Best for: stroke and neurological rehab, or patients whose other conditions need a doctor close by.
5. MedPark Hospital: best for pool-based rehab after surgery
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center · Khlong Toei (Rama IV) · JCI accredited to 2029
MedPark's rehabilitation centre has two hydrotherapy pools and an outdoor rehab garden, with sports-injury and post-operative rehab planned jointly by rehabilitation doctors and physiotherapists. MedPark holds JCI accreditation from February 2026 to February 2029.
Worth knowing: MedPark doesn't publish physio prices, and it isn't in our directory yet, so we can't show review data for its rehab centre.
Best for: patients whose surgeon recommends early pool-based rehab.

Hospital or physio clinic?
A dedicated physio clinic does physiotherapy and little else. Prices are published, sessions run 60 minutes or longer, and you can usually see the same physiotherapist each visit.
A hospital rehabilitation centre adds rehabilitation doctors, imaging and heavy equipment such as robotic gait trainers and hydrotherapy pools. A hospital is the better choice after a stroke, a spinal injury or complex surgery, or if you have other medical conditions. You'll pay hospital rates, and you may need to see a doctor before your first physio session.
- Published session prices
- 60-minute-plus sessions
- Usually the same physiotherapist each visit
- No referral needed
- Rehabilitation doctors on site
- Robotic gait training, hydrotherapy
- Hospital prices, often plus a doctor's fee
- May need a doctor's visit first

FAQ
How much does physiotherapy cost in Bangkok?
A session at a dedicated Bangkok physio clinic cost about ฿1,500–3,000 in October 2026: ฿2,000 at BPC Physio, ฿2,100 at Form Recovery and Wellness, and ฿1,500–3,000 at Pain Away Clinic. Hospitals don't publish physio prices and usually charge more, sometimes with a doctor's fee on top.
Is hospital physiotherapy better than a physio clinic?
Not for most problems. For back pain, neck pain, sports injuries and routine post-surgery rehab, a dedicated clinic is usually cheaper and gives you longer sessions. A hospital is better after a stroke, a spinal injury or complex surgery, or if you need doctors and equipment close by.
Do I need a doctor's referral for physiotherapy in Bangkok?
Dedicated physio clinics in Bangkok see patients without a referral and start with their own assessment. Hospitals may ask you to see a rehabilitation doctor first. If you're recovering from surgery, bring your surgeon's notes and any rehab protocol to your first session.
Do Bangkok physiotherapists speak English?
Many do, especially at clinics in Sukhumvit and Silom. Form Recovery and Wellness states that all its practitioners speak English, and the international hospitals have English-speaking staff and interpreters. Ask when you book.
How do I check a physiotherapist is licensed in Thailand?
Physiotherapists in Thailand must be licensed by the Physical Therapy Council of Thailand under the Physical Therapy Practice Act of 2004. Ask for your physiotherapist's name and licence number, and check it with the Council.
